Short Course in Carbon Accounting
Every organisation produces carbon so the ability to produce an accurate account of your organisation’s carbon emissions will be a valuable skill set wherever you work.
The only course of its kind in the ACT, CIT’s three day carbon accounting short course will teach you how to calculate a carbon footprint, accessing a range of international sustainable guidelines and practices. You will also be able to prepare a carbon report for your organisation which uses internationally recognised best practice to monitor and reduce energy consumption.
Who this course is for
This course is aimed at participants from a range of industries, government agencies and interest groups – not just finance and business.
You should have at least three years of work experience, preferably in a supervisory role, have a keen interest in sustainable environmental practices and have computing and communication skills appropriate for the workplace.

Diploma of Sustainability
The Diploma of Sustainability focuses on giving you an insight into the balance between the natural environment with the economy and society. This diploma is delivered in a self-paced, flexible online format, allowing you to start any time and complete at your own pace, with no rigid class attendance necessary.
Who this course is for
This course is for you if you’re studying, or have already completed, a diploma or higher level qualification, particularly across areas such as engineering, construction, business, architectural design, accounting, tourism or environmental studies. With only four additional units to complete, the course content will complement your existing studies and add an additional dimension to your expertise.
