Does your office need a good paralegal or legal secretary?
It's not too late to enrol for semester 1 2012 - upskill your admin team with a legal services qualification from the Canberra Institute of Technology.
Employees who enrol in the Certificate III in Business Administration (Legal) would, over six months, become better at tasks such as producing legal documentation, carrying out searches of the public record, court etiquette, routine research tasks using legal dictionaries, handbooks and the internet and recording time.
In the Certificate IV (six months) and Diploma of Legal Services (twelve months) staff will develop a better understanding of preparing complex documents, interpreting and applying legislation and researching legal information.
Both the Certificate IV and Diploma courses are fully online, allowing your staff the flexibility to upskill without compromising your business workflow.
Skills Recognition is available for staff who have existing industry experience. This means some staff can start at either the Certificate IV or Diploma, or may receive credit for part of a qualification, reducing study time and costs.
Online information session
An online information session will be held on Tuesday 6 March at 5.30 pm, where you will have the opportunity to hear from teachers about how the course will run, what you can expect to learn, how you can access resources and ask any questions you might have (either through a headset with a microphone, if you have one, or you can type your questions in). As some of the courses themselves can be studied online, this online information session is a taste of online study.
To access the online session visit one of CIT’s virtual classrooms and log in as a new participant. Allow about ten minutes before the start of the session to set up your computer.
