My father was a tiler and I now work for him as an apprentice and attend CIT.
I really enjoy seeing the finished product and proud when I look back over how I have improved. I picked CIT also because of the area I know some of the other guys have also got help with travel and accommodation too. The teachers are really good too we can muck around sometimes but still get the job done and that’s important.
A person who goes into this trade needs to be patient from cutting titles to dealing with customers. Math is also important as there are a lot of angles and measurements when working out designs. In the future I want to take over my father’s business and continue with the renovations side.
