Summary:This qualification will provide you with the skills and knowledge to be competent in administering a variety of networked computer systems. The qualification has a strong information technology base of core units with the potential for inclusion of a range of broader industry specific units in the areas of virtualisation, sustainability and project management to suit particular needs.
Delivery Mode:3 semesters full-time (approx. 19 hours per week) OR part-time equivalent. Some subjects are available flexibly.

Entry Requirements:  you must
- have successfully completed Certificate IV in Information Technology Support or equivalent qualification
OR
- be able to demonstrate vocational experience (at least 1 year) in a range of systems administration areas, including systems, internet and intranet support or similar

If you are entering this program as a Trainee/Apprentice under the Australian Apprenticeships arrangements, you must be employed in the industry and you must register with an Australian Apprenticeships Centre (AAC) prior to enrolment
Additional Information:  You may be required to pay additional costs (approximately $150 - $500) associated with textbooks, stationery requirements and materials fees. You will also need a removable hard disk drive. If you are a new student, you will be enrolled in the subject EMSK 110 Preparing for employment in your chosen profession prior to starting your studies at CIT.
