Summary:The program is designed to address the specific training needs of Government IT Security Officers working in conjunction with IT Security Advisors (ITSAs). The program covers all the legislative, regulatory and mandated Government policies and instructions as set down by the Attorney General's Department and the Department of Defence - Defence Signals Directorate.
Delivery Mode:1 semesters full-time (approx. 28 hours per week) OR part-time equivalent.
Job Opportunities:Employment and career opportunities for ICT Security Officers and IT Security Advisors in government departments or agencies.
Entry Requirements:  You must
- have the ACT Year 10 Certificate
AND
- be Mature Age (turn at least 20 in first year of study)
AND
- be an Australian Citizen
AND
- work for a Government Department/Agency or private sector equivalent
AND
have access to the specified work practices and procedures required to demonstrate achievement of the learning outcomes in the subjects being undertaken
AND at least one of the following:
- 2 years in the ICT Industry e.g. 2 years experience as a system administrator/ICT auditor
- Previous qualifications in ICT e.g. CISA, CISM, CISSP, I-RAP, MCSE, CCNA or Industry equivalent.
