Summary:These Training Programs focus on sustainability and current climatic conditions. They provide you with training in specific areas of Horticulture.

Irrigation Practice gives you training in maintenance / installation of irrigation systems and emphasizes irrigation options and equipment under current regulations.

Plant Identification and Culture enables you to learn about plants in relationship to current climatic conditions and environment including how they work; why some are more drought hardy; and how best to care for plants (pruning, planting).

Practical Landscape Construction enables you to create your own outdoor living area and provides training in setting levels, paving, paths, retaining walls and lawn care and promotes the use of recycled materials and sustainability.

Propagation Practice enables you to grow your own plant material suitable for current climatic conditions and for very little outlay.

Delivery Mode:Each Program: 1 year part-time (approx. 2 hours per week)
Job Opportunities:Assistant gardeners, landscapers, nurseries, urban parks
Entry Requirements:  For all programs you must be able to read and write documents and understand maths concepts to a level required to complete Year 10.
Additional Information:  You must have protective clothing and equipment (PPE) e.g. boots, gloves, hat, suncream.
