| Summary: | This qualification gives you the skills and knowledge to work as a salon assistant competent in communicating in the workplace, interacting with and providing service to clients and assisting colleagues. You will be able to perform routine functions under direct supervision as part of a hairdressing team. | |||
| Delivery Mode: | Two days per week for one semester. Additional time will be required for online study, research and practice. Part time options may be available. | |||

| Entry Requirements: | You must be able to read and write documents and understand maths concepts to a level required to complete Year 10 (early in the program skills will be checked—if you cannot read and write documents and complete maths work to the level needed, you will be enrolled in additional subjects to help build the skills needed to successfully complete the program). If you are entering this program as a trainee under the Australian School-Based Apprenticeships, you must - be at school - be employed in the industry - be supervised by a person qualified in this field of work - register with an Australian Apprenticeships Centre (AAC) prior to enrolment | |||
| Additional Information: | You must purchase your own hairdressing tools and equipment prior to commencement of training at CIT. | |||
