Summary:This qualification gives you the skills and knowledge to perform a variety of activities in a fitness setting in consultation with health professionals. You will extend your abilities as a personal trainer, gaining experience within a range of exercise situations implementing and evaluating approved physical activity for people with medical conditions, injuries and other specific needs. Work may be undertaken in locations such as gyms, fitness facilities, pools, community facilities and in outdoor environments. Completing the Diploma of Fitness will make you eligible to register with Fitness Australia as a Specialised Trainer.
Delivery Mode:1 semester full-time (approx. 24 hours per week) Plus practical application in workplace environments (duration will vary depending on the individual’s knowledge, experience and/or application in the workplace) OR part-time equivalent.

Entry Requirements:  You must
- have a Certificate IV in Fitness
Or
- hold current Fitness Australia Trainer Registration (Personal Trainer)
And
- have current CPR Certificate

Before undertaking any practical work experience involving children, you will be required to undertake a police check.
Additional Information:  If your Certificate IV in Fitness is based on a Training Package qualifications prior to Sport, Fitness and Recreation Training Package SIS10, you may need to complete additional units to meet Diploma entry requirements.
