This qualification meets the requirements of the Animal Care and Management Training Package (ACM10)
Program No:C3-FE18
Summary:This program will give you training involved in the care of a variety of animals involving tasks like feeding, maintaining hygiene, maintaining housing, grooming and providing information to the public on products and services.
Delivery Mode:2 semesters part-time (approx. 12 hours per week)
Job Opportunities:Animal care duties under supervision in a kennel, cattery, pet shop, grooming salon, dog washing salon.
Entry Requirements:  You must:
- have completed the Training Program in Animal Care OR the Certificate II in Animal Studies
OR
be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and knowledge.

Note: If you do not have a Certificate II in Animal Studies qualification you are advised to enrol into the Training Program in Animal Care.
This program gives you credit into the Certificate III in Companion Animal Services.
Availability:Student intake offered in Semester 1 and Semester 2
Additional Information:  It is highly recommended that whilst undertaking this qualification you should seek to gain a period of work placement or work experience in an animal care environment and/or workplace. You will be required to wear suitable protective clothing when dealing with animals and in the laboratory.
