Summary:These programs provide a broad skill base for visual art and craft vocational opportunities including small business, textile art, sculpture, painting, jewellery making and printing techniques that can be applied in the context of Indigenous craft practice.
Delivery Mode:Certificate IV: 1 semester full-time (approx. 18 hours per week) OR part-time equivalent
Certificate III: 1 semester full-time (approx. 18 hours per week) OR part-time equivalent
Certificate II: 1 semester full-time (approx. 16 hours per week) OR part-time equivalent
Certificate I: 1 term full-time (approx. 16 hours per week) OR part-time equivalent
Job Opportunities:Certificate IV: Freelance practice in indigenous art and contemporary crafts
Certificate III: Work in the Indigenous arts and contemporary crafts industries, for example as a studio assistant, and may specialise in one area or be multi-skilled
Certificate II: Under supervision, meet a broad range of Indigenous art and contemporary crafts industry needs as an assistant
Certificate I: Under close supervision, perform tasks such as drawing, photo imaging, print making, and textile/fibre work
Entry Requirements:  These are identified programs for Indigenous Australians.
Certificate IV: You must have completed the Certificate III in Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts or equivalent
Certificate III: You must have completed the Certificate II in Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts or equivalent
Certificate II: You must have completed the Certificate I in Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts or equivalent
Certificate I: There are no formal educational requirements for this program.

Additional Information:  A materials fee of $99-170 will apply. The fee will be reviewed annually. Indigenous students can apply for a CIT Indigenous scholarship. Information is available through the Yurauna Centre.
