Financial Assistance

The Counselling and Equity area coordinates the ACT Government Fee Assistance (Fee Assistance) program.

Fee Assistance supports eligible CIT students in financial hardship with assistance towards the costs of course fees and/or course materials.  This is done by way of an application process which is assessed by the ACT Government Fee Assistance Committee.

Your Applicant’s Statement within the application form should include information about your academic goals, personal and financial circumstances.  You do not have to give really personal details by the information you provide gives the Committee a better understand of your individual circumstances.

As well as completing an application form you will need to supply income evidence to support your claim of financial hardship.  This will include a recent payslip/Centrelink Income Statement for yourself and your partner and parent/s if you live with them.

It is important that when lodging your application that all of the required documentation and information are included.  If your application is not complete it will be returned to you which will cause delays and prevent any possibility of late fees being removed.

Please do not pay your course fees or purchase your course materials from CITSA Bookshops until you have the result of your application.
