Graduation
Each year students of the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) who have successfully completed their studies may attend a CIT Graduation and receive formal recognition of their success at the Institute.
To apply to graduate and obtain your qualification please fill in and submit the Application for Award form in the last semester of your course.
In 2012 your graduation ceremony will be held in May.
Graduation ceremonies
Graduation is an important event in the life of the Institute. Graduation ceremonies provide a public occasion to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of our graduands and the expertise and dedication of their teachers. On this occasion we also remember the support of family, partners and friends. CIT Centres may also nominate students for Prizes and Medals to be presented at the graduation ceremony.
All CIT graduation ceremonies are robed occasions. Academic dress consists of a black gown with long sleeves, a hood or stole and a black mortarboard (cap) depending on the qualifications. Please Note: In order to graduate you need to fill in and submit an Application for Award form. Application for Award forms are available to download and are also available from the Student Services Hub on your campus.

- Option for International Students: December each year
- Where: To be confirmed.
Please Note: Some qualifications are not conferred at a graduation ceremony: for these programs awards are posted to successful students within 4 weeks of receipt of an Application for Award. Your teachers will have information on whether or not the awards for your program are conferred at a graduation ceremony.
