Industry experience

I have worked as a health science professional for 18 years and alongside this have been a teacher for 12 years - giving me an in-depth understanding of my industry, but also a ground up view of educational design.

Now specialising in online education and learning design, I help empower and upskill all teachers at CIT to deliver quality learning experiences for their students in a blended delivery or online environment.

Customised training to industry

I have worked closely with ACT Health on the development of a virtual world for health education, which puts students in real life workplace scenarios and enables them to influence their surroundings and see the outcomes of their actions, exactly as they would in the workforce.

Working in partnership with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (Australia's leading organisation on diabetes education and care), I coordinated a project to deliver online training to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers to increase their knowledge and understanding of diabetes.

In 2011 I worked with Charles Sturt University's Bachelor of Policing staff, to help increase their learning design of the online component of their courses.
