International Master Chef Delivers Demonstration for CIT Students and ACT Culinary Industry

Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is pleased to present a very special event featuring world renowned patisserie chef Jordi Puigvert Colomer on October 13 at its Reid campus.
Jordi will deliver a four-hour demonstration from 1pm -5pm.
The demonstration will provide a unique learning opportunity for CIT Culinary students, staff and industry partners, exposing them to Jordi's world class techniques.
CIT is pleased to offer the Canberra region industry access to this internationally renowned practitioner to continue to strengthen links with, and play a role in shaping the ACT's food and culinary industry.
Jordi is a highly regarded for his research and development of new applications for ingredients and his book Evolution. Techniques and Ingredients for Modern Pastry.
Jordi studied cuisine and pastry at the School of Hospitality in Girona, in Spain's north-eastern Catalonia region where he now teaches pastry, confectionery and plated desserts. In 2013 he was appointed Visiting Professor at the Chocolate Academy in Gurb and the Escola Patisserie in Barcelona, Spain.
Jordi has worked for "Les Cols" (2 star Michelin), Alkimia Restaurant (1 star Michelin), Pasteleria Baixas (Relais Dessert), "Espai Sucre Restaurant and Desserts School", "El Celler de Can Roca" (3 star Michelin).
He also heads international consulting firm Sweet'n Go which provides advice, training, development and application of new products and techniques in restaurant and shop patisserie, plate desserts and sweet cookery. Through "Sweet'n Go" he demonstrates worldwide for brands such as Chocolatier Michel Cluizel, Sicoly and Sosa ingredients.
