Canberra Singer to Shine at CIT
15 Mar 2012
Upcoming Canberra singing sensation Natalie Magee is set to take on the world, but first she will give her all to the people of Canberra in a special concert at the CIT Music Industry Centre (MIC) in Phillip this month.
A contemporary vocalist and composer with an edge, Natalie combines jazz compositional techniques with the modern pop and Indie genres. Her CIT concert, titled "A New Chapter Begins", will be her ACT swan-song before travelling to perform internationally and then relocating to Sydney.
After over 450 performances in Canberra Natalie said the concert will hold special significance for her.
"It will be my last show in Canberra," she said.
"Although I am feeling sad about leaving Canberra, I am so excited for what the future holds and this concert will be my way of saying goodbye."
"There will be beanbags, couches and cabaret table seating, all will be candle lit! The musicians I have lined up for the concert are the best of the best and I can't wait to show them off!"
As an added bonus the concert will be captured on a live DVD and CD thanks to CIT Media and Sound Production students.
CIT Education Manager John Frohlich said the opportunity to capture the sights and sounds of such an amazing young talent was too good an opportunity to miss.
"This event is not only exceptional entertainment value, it provides great learning experiences for our audio production and media students," John said.
"It will give our students the opportunity to exercise their sound mixing and camera skills with professional performers."
