For Future Students
The Certificate II in Access10 (an alternative adult Year10 program) is an accredited, flexible learning program. It provides a solid base in key subject areas and a range of learning opportunities for further study and training. Statements of Attainment are available for part completion of the program.
Access10 subjects:
For the Certificate II, students complete compulsory units in:
- English
- Mathematics
- Exploring Options
- Introductory skills:
- Research Skills
- Getting Started in Computing
- Scientific Investigation
AND choose elective units in:
- Science
- Computing
- Shaping Australia
- Vocational Training
- Art
- PE
- Advanced Maths, English and Science
This program is for you if:
- you left high-school before completing your secondary education
- you wish to enter a TAFE program but can’t satisfy the entry requirements
- your skills need to be improved before moving on to job-related training
- you can’t attend classes regularly
- you want to move through the program at your own pace
- you want to study (full-time or part-time, day-time/evening, at home/at CIT).
What is flexible about this program?
- you have a choice of vocational, general or academic electives
- you can enrol at any time if a vacancy is available in the program
- student support is provided for your individual needs
- you meet your own learning and completion deadlines
- you adapt your study load to suit your lifestyle
There are no course fees for this program, however CIT Student Association fees are applicable and a $5 materials fee for each subject.
