Settlement Course
Successful settlement is an important objective of the AMEP. Information is provided about health, housing, education, money and banking, transport, the local community, work, Australian culture and the role of settlement workers and other relevant and essential services.
Basic Computing Skills
Skills in keyboarding, word processing and other software applications are taught in this tutorial. This integrates language learning with the acquisition of skills necessary for further study and/or employment.
Pronunciation and Literacy
Learners with special needs in these areas are given intensive help individually or in small groups.
Preparation for the IELTS Test
Some clients are required to sit for the IELTS test (International English Language Testing Scheme) for university entrance. These tutorials help Certificate III learners to prepare for the test.
