Course entry requirements
Please note that this is a Post Qualification course. A requirement for enrolment into this course is current enrolment with a Nursing and Midwifery regulatory authority as an Enrolled Nurse/Division 2 Nurse and working as an Enrolled Nurse (current registration card).
You must also ensure you meet the numeracy entry requirement. The numeracy requirement is:
- an ACT Year 12 Certificate (or equivalent) with at least a "C" grade average in accredited Maths
OR
- successful completion of the CIT Numeracy test or equivalent.
The Training Program in Medication Practices Enrolled Nurses' is only offered part time. It will run subject to sufficient numbers of students.
Please note CIT does not organise clinical placements for students of the Medication course. It is your responsibility to ensure you are currently working in a workplace where you will be able to complete at least 20hrs of clinical placement as a CIT student and be fully supervised by a Registered Nurse for the entire time.
Test results
A pass mark of 70% or greater is required in the numeracy assessment.
Applicants with unsuccessful testing results will be advised re recommended support classes available.
If you have already completed the numeracy test at CIT (or equivalent) and have achieved results of 70% or greater in each section, you are not required to repeat the test. Please note the pass mark is 70%.
